The Seawalker®system uses chilled salt water and variable depth control (300mm–1200mm) to provide structured, progressive exercise. Horses work without a rider, whilst maintaining neutral spine alignment, a relaxed frame and an active core. Whether used for early training, daily conditioning, workload variety, post-work cool down, rehabilitation or for broodmares, Seawalker® consistently delivers results.
Horses remain in contact with the ground at all times, maintain a normal respiratory pattern and relaxed mindset throughout their session.
Seawalker® allows vets and physiotherapists to integrate structured aquatic sessions early in equine rehabilitation regimes.
Mares carrying foals benefit from deep core engagement and abdominal strengthening effects of exercise in Seawalker®. The low-impact environment supports musculoskeletal health without ridden work.
Anecdotally handlers consistently report improved appetite, reduced tension and more settled behaviour in horses regularly using Seawalker®. For horses who do not respond well to treadmills or swimming, Seawalker® sessions offer a welcome alternative.
Seawalker® is established in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Far East and Australia.
Used by elite yards in Newmarket, Dubai, Qatar and Hong Kong, Seawalker® is engineered for safety, efficiency and equine performance. The system is fully supported by Equine Health Centre’s consultancy, installation, training and maintenance services.
