About Equine Health Centre

Equine Health Centre was founded back in 2004 by Justin and Marie-Louise Chittenden as they designed and built a Seawalker® at Horses First Racing. Based in Somerset, England, their family business has learnt and developed with each Seawalker® build – now on four continents – Europe, Middle East, Far East and Australia. The Seawalker® is complemented by a range of additional sourced products they feel are the best and safest possible for training elite equine athletes.

We created Seawalker® to bring the proven benefits of exercising horses in chilled salt water directly to professional equine facilities. From its origins in 2004, when the horse racing industry sought a way to replicate the therapeutic effects of the sea, to our development of the world’s first purpose-built equine water walker, Seawalker® has been engineered with precision, welfare and performance in mind. With Seawalker® now installed on four continents, we remain hands-on with every project – from design through to commissioning. Whether you’re focused on racehorse or performance horse training, or equine rehabilitation, Seawalker® combines targeted resistance training, chilled salt water therapy and an advanced chlorine-free filtration in one system.
